Well ...

... that sort of defeated the purpose of that rant:

LearnBiblical Hebrew
Online Biblical Hebrew lessons. Understand the Bible completely.
ww.ClassicalHebrew.com

Google ads did as I wondered.

G'ddamn it. You'd expect the program to recognise an unfavourable remark here and there ... but NOOOOO ... not smart enough. As if that is an excuse. Of course ... I cannot simply abide by this. There will be a different add there soon.

Experiment:

SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX SEX

Hah! Pretty soon I'll have adds for erictile disfunction, willing whores near you (neighbourhood outreach scheme ...), penis enlargements or something up there. As it should be on the internet. Penis enlargements made the internet bigger!

I just hope that the programme doesn't combine things. That sudenly there will be a link to religious porn site with a side fetish of US football ...

Oh well. The war shall continue!

In ...

... a season where non of the teams I like ended up doing great yesterday night really wasn't a surprise. Let's just move on. It's probably for the best. They'll do better next year.

What did strike me, though, was the Cardinals' quarterback, Gus Frerotte, proclaiming that first and foremost it was all thanks to his buddy Jesus ...

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, invisible friends and speshul books again. LeSigh. It's so ...

That said ... sports seem such a trivial thing to annoy your GOD with. There's really nothing important about it. Yes, some money changes hands and people get happy or not, as the case may be, so, there maybe some cathartic thing going on but really important ... nah. So, wouldn't it be nicer to pray for peace and just think: 'Well, Jesus has a lot on his plate with that ... this trivial, meaningless football game I'll just do myself without disturbing my buddy?' I understand that, if he/she/it exsists the nature of god is not for me to understand as it's probably infinite and totally awesome ... so in the end there actually maybe room for Gus to get help in throwing the ball around but it just seems demeaning towards your saviour and ... lightbulb, or something.
There's lots of religion in sports. And it annoys me. The pious humility takes away from the actual sportsmen 's achievements. For example: when Tony Dungee won the superbowl as coach for the Colts he thought it so much more important that 'a man of Jesus' won the game. More important than that 'a man of colour' won (which he is, obviously or that wouldn't have made much sense ...). And I'm wondering whether he should have played that down so much. Let's face it: rascism is a thriving business. Maybe we should celebrate every victory against the bigots. But no ... Tony, the idiot, thinks it's all up to his imaginary pall passing up a perfect opportunity to give the finger to a huge amount of people. Never mind showing that you worked hard, invested everything, got there against all odds ... it's always Jesus. And Jesus is always white.

And if you're truly humble you wouldn't use the company jet to commute to work, Tony, by the way. A little respect for creation. Cycle to work, bitch. Lower your carbon footprint. Jesus wants this planet to survive.

Oh well. That's my pet peeve, I suspect.

Another thing that I think the NFL should change. Coaches, trainers, the whole staff of whatever team should be forced to be in shape. It just looks ridiculous to have an overwhelmingly fat guy stand on the sidelines and tell all these young, powerfull, slim, trim, fast people what to do. It just looks odd ... Sorry Andy Reid. Eric Mangini. Mike Holmgren. Romeo Crennel. Mark Mangino. Ralph Friedgen ...

Jesus ... that list goes on and on and on and on ...

(I so hope that Google adss decides not to put up some religious bullshit add next to this post. That much irony or divine retribution is too much to take.)

So ...

... the iPod is finished.

It was a huge battle and in the end I prevailed. The breaking point was when I finally figured out how to add images to albums. Now I have everything sorted, everything in, pictures to go with it ... lovely.

A couple of things that stand out:

- When you stuff every CD you own into a little black box you really get to see progress. In my case 400 CD's. Made tiny. It makes you reconsider your interior design. Cubboards and stuff ...
- My iPod still has 100G empty. In my imagination this means that all my albums are in there with enough room left over for a good football tournement. Of course ... what kind of football the albums can never decide on so it'll probably all degrade into a bloody mess of musical chairs and half-eaten tunes ... but at least they'll have fun.
- It's wonderful to have everything at my fingertips. Consider: every album was bought at a time in my life. Some have memories. And sometimes my memory gets jogged. And then it's nice to actually be able to listen to the music. And usually decide that time was unfavourable. Long past it's sell-by date. But at least ... I can!

I'm happy.
